Results from Intercultural Teaching and Learning on Urban Resilience in the Ruhr and Metro Vancouver Regions
In 2016 and 2017, German and Canadian students and scholars from TU Dortmund as well as Simon Fraser University from Vancouver (CA) participated in a year-long learning and teaching partnership on the topic of urban resilience. Specific to the outcome were reflections on the balance of demands for individuals and communities who currently pursue resilience understandings.
The process of learning and teaching was documented from both cultures and submitted in the form of reports as well as articles for sharing and publication. The first of the journal articles from this extended experience was published in the open access journal Cities and the Environment in March of this year. More information about the experience is available via the EPC website.
