Online Workshop “Introduction to Qualitative Research” at Kerala Agricultural University Following an invitation from the Department of Agricultural Extension

IPS- fellow Dr Raffael Beier offered the online workshop “Introduction to Qualitative Research” at Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Thiruvananthapuram, India, together with Dr Anne Siebert from the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy, Ruhr University Bochum (RUB). The interactive workshop took place on 10-13 August 2021 and introduced KAU faculties and PhD students to qualitative research methods and data analysis – including the practicing of an own interview and a short introduction to MAXQDA. The participants welcomed the opportunity to look beyond their usual focus on quantitative methodologies and to learn about ways of combining different research methodologies in a useful way.
