Dr. Dahae Lee secures PostdocLab funding for interdisciplinary research on co-production

Dr. Dahae Lee, together with Dr. Patricia Rinck from the Institute of Political Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen, has successfully secured funding from the College UA Ruhr through the PostdocLab programme.

The project, titled Towards sustainable and just cities: Capacities, capabilities, and intersectional power dynamics in co-production, will establish an interdisciplinary, cross-university working group within the University Alliance Ruhr.

Over the next 1.5 years, the working group will conduct joint research addressing the following core questions: How do intersectional power hierarchies—shaped by participants’ capacities, capabilities, and positionality—affect the potential for inclusive co-production in planning? And how can such power imbalances be addressed to create conditions for meaningful co-production processes? In addition, the working group will organise academic and public events in the Ruhr region.

The PostdocLab | College UA Ruhr programme supports postdoctoral researchers from the University Alliance Ruhr, providing funding for 1.5 years to foster the development of academic profiles and the establishment of sustainable research networks within the Ruhr region and beyond.
